We all do it, waiting for permission from somebody or something so we can start our lives.
I’ll do that when…
When I lose the baby fat
When my husband lets me
When I get a better job
When I make x dollars a month
When my mom accepts me
The thing is, what are you waiting for?
My bigger question — who are you seeking permission from and how can we shift that to get YOU settled into YOUR life?
Here’s some questions to get you thinking about how other people’s expectations might be holding you back —
I’m not here to judge you. Trust me. My flaws are endless.
If you remember, my house is a flipping mess, so is my car, I yell at my kids more than I’d like to admit and I suck at cleaning. And my husband and I argue a lot.
I also have issues with boundaries and insecurities — and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Ha!
What I hope you’ll start thinking about is how can you get honest with yourself and your needs so you can do more of what you love.
How can you get back to yourself, doing things that light you up, so you feel fulfilled at the end of the day?
I want you to live a happy, joyful life that’s not dragging you down.
I want you to embrace the chaos and give yourself a pat on the back because you’re a rockstar.
Because tomorrow, you somehow find the strength to do it all over again.
I want you to wear that bathing suit because your kids are getting older every single day.
And they’re not gonna remember you having a flabby booty. ;)
They’re going to remember how much fun you had when you did a cannon ball with them or played hide and seek and laughed so hard you peed your pants.
I want you to start living your life because it’s the only one you got.
I want you to ask yourself, What am I waiting for to start living my life?
What is it that you truly want? And listen to that voice inside of you.
I invite you to get super clear on your needs and invite a conversation with your partner, or your family to get everyone aligned and on board.
When you start making yourself a priority and getting down to the simplest form of self care every single day, you are going to be so much more grounded to handle chaos and stress.
Instead of feeling defeated, you’ll feel like, “Bring it bitches.” ;)
Have a fantastic week!
PS – I’ve been doing a new meditation at night right before I go to bed. And I LOVE it! Check it out. (It’s on YouTube and it’s free.)
PPS – This is the app that I use for almost of my other meditations. I highly recommend downloading the app and trying it out first. If you like it, they’ve got a promo for 40% off an entire year’s subscription. (I’m not an affiliate, just love it).
